Look for a one or two guy operation. The big companies charge more and skip corners. Ask around at the gas station or coffee shop. The good ones don't advertise much because they don't have to.
We use one of the local crews and honestly it has been worth every penny since both of us went back to working full time. The key is finding someone who shows up on the same day each week instead of a service that bounces you around. Ask for references in your neighborhood... word of mouth is still how the good ones get hired around here.
