Summer reading suggestions?

Now that the weather is warm I'm spending mornings on the porch with coffee and a book again. I'm looking for something good. Doesn't have to be heavy literary stuff, just something I can't put down. I tend to go for historical fiction or a good mystery but I'm open. What's everyone reading lately?

Also has anyone been to a book club around here? I asked a while back and got a couple ideas but never followed up. Wondering if anything has started up.

oh I love this question!! I just finished one called The Frozen River and could not put it down. Historical fiction set in colonial Maine. Highly recommend if you like that genre. Also if you have grandkids visiting the Hermitage Library does a summer reading program that's been a hit with mine 😊

Hi Donna! I'm in Grove City too. I haven't found a book club yet either but I'd be interested if you ever want to start something informal. The library would probably let us use the meeting room. As for recent reads... I've been on a Kristin Hannah kick this spring. The Women was excellent if you haven't read it yet.

Donna I'm so glad you asked this... I'm always needing something new for the porch. I just finished one of those Kristin Hannah books Karen mentioned and ohh it stayed with me for days. And if you ever do get a little book club going, count me in... I'd happily drive over to Grove City for that. A book is so much better when you've got someone to talk it over with after!
