Garden is really taking off now... first salad of the season

Well after all my fussing about when to get things in the ground, the garden has finally decided to cooperate! We picked our first lettuce and radishes over the weekend and I made a salad that came right out of our own dirt. There is just nothing like it. The tomatoes I was so worried about are looking strong too.

Is anyone else starting to get something off their plants yet? And does anybody have a good trick for keeping the rabbits out? They got my bean sprouts last year and I am not letting that happen again this time.

Oh that first salad is the best feeling!! Mine isn't quite there yet but the lettuce is coming. Did you do anything different this year or same varieties as always?

So jealous... mine got hit by those cold nights we had and I had to replant some. Nothing beats picking it right before dinner though. What kind of tomatoes did you put in?

Nothing better than that first salad you grew yourself. My lettuce and radishes are doing well but the rabbits found my beans again... every single year. I've half a mind to just plant extra for them at this point.
