Strawberry Days planning... who has done the parade route?

Heading into June and Strawberry Days will be here before we know it. For anyone who has been before, what's the best spot along the parade route? We always end up parking too far away and missing the start.

Also, any vendors people are excited about this year? Love seeing what's new each time.

Oh Janet you know this is my favorite time of year in Greenville!! For the parade we always set up near the lower end of Main where it is a little less crowded but you still get the whole thing coming through. If you get there early you can grab a spot in the shade which makes a big difference on a warm day. As for vendors, I always make a beeline for the strawberry shortcake of course... it just wouldn't be Strawberry Days without it! So excited it's almost here!!

I come over from Grove City for it every year. Carol is right about getting there early for parking... I've learned to just leave the car a few blocks off and walk in rather than fight for a close spot. Honestly half the fun is wandering the side streets and finding the little vendor booths anyway. Last year there was a woman selling the most beautiful handmade soaps and I'm hoping she comes back.

We try to make it over to Greenville for this every June. There is such a nice small town feel to the whole thing. My one tip is to bring cash... some of the smaller vendors don't take cards and you don't want to miss something good because you're stuck hunting for an ATM. Have a wonderful time!
